The Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) is founded in 1991 in the US companies with over 8,000 employees worldwide, which printer hardware and also software for this area manufactures and distributes. Company history

Lexmark International, Inc. was founded in 1991 following the sale of IBM's printer and keyboard operations to the private equity firm Clayton & Dubilier, Inc. Headquarters are in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA. Lexmark introduced its first inkjet printer in 1991, the IBM Color Jetprinter PS 4079. With the IBM ExecJet II 4076, Lexmark presented its first black and white inkjet printer with a self-developed printing mechanism in 1993. With the Optra family, Lexmark introduced the first laser printers in 1994 that print with a true resolution of 1200 × 1200 dpi. Lexmark went public in 1995 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol LXK. With the Lexmark 7000 Color Jetprinter, Lexmark introduced the first inkjet printer in 1997 that prints with a resolution of 1,200 × 1,200 dpi. The company has been cooperating with Compaq since 1998 and sells inkjet printers under the Compaq label. Lexmark introduced the first 2-in-1 printer in 1998, the Lexmark 5770 Photo Jetprinter, which enables users to edit, print and save digital photos without using a PC. Lexmark expanded its offering in 1999 to include Managed Print Services (MPS). Legacy Lexmark logo (until 2015)

Saperion AG produces Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) software. The acquisition of Kofax (USA, California) for $ 1 billion was announced in 2015. Lexmark Deutschland GmbH moved from Dietzenbach (Offenbach district) to Neu-Isenburg (Offenbach district) in September 2015.

Also in 2015, Lexmark renewed its branding and introduced a new logo for its company. The new logo in different shades of green symbolizes an aperture and is intended to represent the expanded range and the focus on industry solutions.

Business areas

The Imaging Solutions and Services (ISS) division offers laser printers , multifunction printers , associated operating materials and consumables, software, software solutions and Managed Print Services (MPS) for companies.
