Li Bin ( Chinese李斌 / 李斌, Pinyin Lǐ Bīn ; born May 31, 1988 in Beijing ) is a former Hungarian table tennis player of Chinese origin. With the team she became European champion in 2007 . She is right-handed and uses the European shakehand stick position as a handle .

Career

Even in her youth, Li was one of the best players in her country. In 2003 she was European School Champion, and in 2004 in mixed. At the same event, the native Chinese won two silver medals with the team and two bronze medals. With the Budapest club Statisztika Petőfi SC, she was two-time Hungarian team champion from 2003 to 2008. In 2008 she moved to the German Bundesliga for TuS Bad Driburg , where she stayed until at least 2010.

She took part in her first adult tournament in 2006. So Li was able to play in her first World Cup , the Hungarian team reached the quarter-finals.

In 2007, Li and the team won bronze at the World Team Cup . At the European Championships in the same year, she was eliminated early in singles, doubles and mixed, but secured the gold medal in the team competition.

In 2008, Li Bin still took part in the European Championships , where she and the team reached 2nd place, as well as in the World Cup , which again ended up in the quarter-finals.

In January 2013 she was listed for the last time in the ITTF world rankings and then did not appear internationally.
