Li Dongsheng

Li Dongsheng ( chin.李东生; * 1957 in Huizhou , Guangdong Province ) is a Chinese television engineer and has been CEO of the electronics company TCL since 1996 .

The US business magazine Fortune calls him “the best Asian businessman”.

Life

Li Dongsheng studied engineering at the Technical University in Huanan . In 1982 he graduated as a television engineer. In the same year he started a job as a technician in a small electronics company in his hometown, which was founded in 1981 under the name TTK Home Appliances Company, Ltd. Founded.

In 1985, Li was promoted to general manager of the company after it expanded rapidly. It was later called the TCL Communication Equipment Company until 1996.
