Li Qiangbing ( Chinese  李 嫱 冰 , Pinyin Lĭ Qiángbīng ; born April 30, 1985 in Beijing ) is an Austrian table tennis player of Chinese origin. She qualified for the second time in 2012 to participate in the Olympic Games.

Career

Li Qiangbing is the daughter of former Chinese head coach Li Xiaodong . In 1999 she was second behind Zhang Fang and first with the team at the Asian Youth Championships and in 2001 played a Pro Tour tournament under the Chinese flag in Fort Lauderdale.

She then moved to Austria and joined the Linz AG Froschberg association. In 2004 she received Austrian citizenship. Since 2005 she has been nominated for all world championships by the Austrian Table Tennis Association . She also took part in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 European Championships . In 2009 she made it to the quarterfinals in singles.

In 2008 she qualified for the first time for the Olympic Games . With wins over Wenling Tan Monfardini (Italy) and Wu Jiaduo (Germany), she reached the round of 16 of the table tennis tournament of the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing before she was eliminated by Tie Yana (Hong Kong). With Linz AG Froschberg she won the Champions League in 2009, and in 2010 she reached the final. In 2012 she played in the table tennis tournament at the Olympic Summer Games in London .

Private

In addition to her native Chinese, Li Qiangbing speaks German.

In August 2013, Li Qiangbing had a child from her partner, Stefan Fegerl .
