Li Ting (water diver)

Li Ting ( Chinese  李 婷 , Pinyin Lǐ Tíng ; born April 1, 1987 in Guilin ) is a Chinese water diver . She once took part in the Olympic Games and won a gold medal.

At the Asian Games in Busan in 2002 , Li Ting won the gold medal in synchronized jumping from the tower. She took part in the 2003 Swimming World Championships in Barcelona, ​​where she also won gold in synchronized diving from the tower. Li participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She started in the individual and synchronous competition from the tower. In the individual competition, Li Ting reached sixth place with 546.48 points. Together with Lao Lishi she started in the dubbing competition. They won the gold medal with 352.14 points in front of the Russians Natalja Michailowna Goncharova and Julia Koltunova (340.92 points) and Blythe Hartley and Émilie Heymans from Canada (327.78 points). At the 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montreal, Li Ting won the synchronized jumping title from the three-meter board. A year later at the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , she also won the dubbing competition off the board.
