Li Na (diver)

Li Na ( Chinese  李娜 , Pinyin Lǐ Nà ; born May 1, 1984 in Hefei ) is a former Chinese water diver . She once took part in the Olympic Games and won two medals.

Career

At the Asian Games in Bangkok in 1998 , Li Na won silver from the tower. Li participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She started in high diving in both individual and synchronized competitions. In the individual, Li Na won the silver medal with 542.10 points, which she achieved with second place behind the American Laura Wilkinson (543.75 points) and ahead of the Canadian Anne Montminy (540.15 points). In the dubbing competition, Li Na started together with Sang Xue . There they won the gold medal with 345.12 points ahead of the duo Émilie Heymans and Anne Montminy from Canada (312.03 points) and the Australians Rebecca Gilmore and Loudy Tourky (301.50 points). At the Asian Games in Busan in 2002 she was able to win the silver medal again from the tower.
