Chen Ruolin ( Chinese  陈若琳 , Pinyin Chén Ruòlín ; born December 12, 1992 in Jiangsu ) is a Chinese water diver . She takes part in synchronized and individual competitions from the 10-meter tower. Her greatest success is the four gold medals she won at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London .

At the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , Chen Ruolin won the individual silver medal and gold in synchronized jumping with Jia Tong . In Melbourne , at the Swimming World Championships in 2007 , she was able to repeat this haul of medals. Chen was named to the Chinese squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . There she won the gold medal in the individual competition. In synchronized jumping she was also Olympic champion together with Wang Xin . At the Swimming World Championships in Rome in 2009, Chen Ruolin was defeated in the individual competition by the Mexican Paola Espinosa , in the synchronized competition from the tower she won together with Wang Xin. Together with Wang Hao , she also won gold at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou and at the 2011 Home World Cup in Shanghai . At the world championship she also won from the tower and also won her first individual world championship title. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , Chen repeated her Olympic victories from the tower in singles and in synchronized jumping (together with Wang Hao).
