Elizabeth "Betty" Becker-Pinkston (born March 6, 1903 in Philadelphia , † April 6, 1989 in Detroit ) was an American diver and two-time Olympic champion .
She started swimming in childhood as a therapy after a serious illness. At the age of 17, she narrowly missed the selection for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp . At the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris she was able to win a gold medal from the 3-meter springboard and the silver medal from the 10-meter tower. It was at these Games that she met her future husband, Clarence Pinkston , Olympic gold medalist in high diving in 1920, whom she married after the Games.
In 1926 she gave birth to twins, but won another Olympic gold medal in diving on August 11, 1928 and was trained by her husband. She also won a total of six AAU titles.
