Guo Jingjing ( Chinese  郭晶晶 , Pinyin Guō Jīngjīng , born October 15, 1981 in Baoding / Hebei ) is a former Chinese water diver . She is the most successful female diver to date and is also considered the most elegant Chinese diver. Guo won 4 gold medals at the Olympic Games and 10 at World Championships in jumping from the 3-meter board and in 3-meter synchronized jumping.

Career

Guo started diving when he was 6 years old. In 1992 she was appointed to the Chinese national team for the first time. She now has advertising contracts with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola , and she also models for Chinese fashion labels and cosmetics companies. Due to the McDonald's advertising campaign, she was initially excluded from the national team in the run-up to the 2008 Summer Olympics . But it was later resumed.

Private

At the beginning of 2011, Guo revealed marriage plans and finally announced her retirement from diving when she initially wanted to end her career in 2008, but was persuaded by her coaches to continue. In 2013 she married the billionaire heir Kenneth Fok.
