Blythe Hartley (born May 2, 1982 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian water diver . It starts both in artificial jumping from the 1-m and 3-m board as well as in 10-m tower diving and synchronized jumping.

Hartley is particularly successful at swimming world championships from the 1 meter board. She won the gold medal in Fukuoka in 2001 and in Montreal in 2005 , silver in Melbourne in 2007 and bronze in Barcelona in 2003 .

Hartley first took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . She achieved her best placement in synchronized jumping from the 3-meter board, where she and her partner Eryn Bulmer finished fifth. In the individual competition from the 3-meter board, she finished tenth in the end. Four years later at the Olympic Games in Athens , Hartley won her first Olympic medal. In synchronized jumping from the 10 m tower, she won bronze together with Émilie Heymans .

Hartley also won five medals at the Pan American Games between 1999 and 2003 and one medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 .

Hartley was named Young Athlete of the Year in Canada in 1999. In 2001 the Canadian Diving Association named her Jumper of the Year. Hartley graduated from the University of Southern California .
