Career

society

Liassine Cadamuro-Bentaïba was born in France to an Italian and an Algerian and played for FC Sochaux when she was young . Even before the end of his U-19 time, he was twice in the B-team of the football club in the fourth division in 2005/06 and 2006/07. He was then taken over permanently in the B-Team, but he neither made the leap into the professional team of the club, nor was he able to establish himself as a regular player.

That is why he moved to Spain to Real Sociedad San Sebastián in 2008 . There Cadamuro got a regular place in the third division team of the Basques, which he kept even after relegation to fourth division. In 2010 he was immediately promoted again and after another year in the B team, he was accepted into the first team at the age of 23. On the third day of the 2011/12 season he made his debut in the Primera División , when he came on in the match against FC Barcelona in the 69th minute (final result 2-2). He made his starting line-up debut against the second major Spanish club Real Madrid on matchday 11. 19 league games were there this season, ten of them over 90 minutes, which he played as a left defender. The following year, a protracted ankle injury cost him almost the entire preliminary round. The second half of the season was also not without problems, so that he only came to longer assignments towards the end of the season.

In the 2013/14 season, the defensive all-rounder was then used in central defense or right back. Although he played three of the first six games of the season over the full season and also made his debut in the Champions League , he was hardly considered until the winter break. For the second half of the season he was loaned to the second division RCD Mallorca . For the club from the Balearic Island, he initially jumped in central defense, but then lost his regular place due to injury. He played a total of eight times for Mallorca.

In August 2014, Cadamuro moved to CA Osasuna on loan . At San Sebastian, his contract was not extended after this loan and so he was without a club from mid-2015. On February 9, 2016, the then third-class traditional club Servette FC Genève announced the commitment of Cadamuro. He received a six-month contract with an automatic two-year extension in the event of promotion. A year later he was transferred to Olympique Nîmes . Then he played for half a year each for Gimnàstic de Tarragona and CS Concordia Chiajna . He was without a club for the second half of 2019 and has been under contract with Volos NPS in Greece since January 2020 .

National team

With the promotion to the first Spanish league, Liassine Cadamuro-Bentaïba also moved into the focus of the Algerian national coach , as he also has an Algerian passport. After he was personally observed by national coach Vahid Halilhodzic in January 2012 , an invitation to the qualifying game against Gambia on February 29, 2012 , in which Cadamuro finally made his debut , followed shortly afterwards . He then played two more games in qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup . It ended successfully and Cadamuro played his first national jersey tournament in South Africa . But he only played in the first game and after the three preliminary round games Algeria was eliminated.

In the rest of the year he was no longer used in the national team. It was only in the run-up to the 2014 World Cup , for which Algeria had qualified, that he was brought back on a trial basis for two friendly matches, in which he was used as a central defender. At the beginning of June he was included in the 23-man squad for the World Cup.

Others

He has been married to the former French national player Louisa Nécib since 2016 .
