The Liberal Democratic Party ( Serbian : Либерално-демократска партија, Liberalno-demokratska partija) is a Serbian party founded on November 5, 2005 , of which Čedomir Jovanović is chairman .

Content profile

The strictly pro-western party is the only party represented in the Serbian parliament to accept Kosovo's independence . She was also an observer in the Liberal International and an associate member of the ALDE party until February 2019 .

history

In the parliamentary elections in Serbia in 2007 , she and several smaller organizations with which the LDP had entered into a list alliance received 5.31 percent of the votes cast. The alliance was able to win 15 seats in the Serbian parliament , 6 of which went to the LDP. In April 2007 the GSS (Citizens' Union of Serbia), which had been independent until then, joined the LDP, which means that it now has 9 seats in parliament.

In the parliamentary elections held on May 11, 2008 , the party received 5.24% of the vote and 13 seats in parliament.
