The Liberation Tower , also called the Tahreer Tower ( Arabic برج التحرير Burj at-Tahrir , DMG Burǧ at-Taḥrīr ), is a 372 meter high television tower in Kuwait City . The tower was built from 1995 to 1996 and the opening took place on March 10, 1996.

The Liberation Tower has a viewing platform from which you have a beautiful view of the city. Usually it serves as a transmission tower. It was the tallest structure in Kuwait until it was surpassed in July 2010 by the Al Hamra Tower , a 77-story skyscraper (413 meters). Since then, it is only the second tallest structure in the country. It is one of the tallest television towers in the world .
