Libyan Arab Air Cargo ( Arabic الليبية للشحن الجوي, DMG al-lībiyya li-š-šaḥn al-ǧawwī ) is a Libyan cargo airline based in Tripoli and based at Tripoli International Airport .
history
The subsidiary of Libyan Airlines was founded in 1979 under the name Jamahiria Air Transport . It was the first company outside of the former Soviet Union to use an Antonov An-124 . In contrast to the fleet of its parent company, which mainly consists of modern Airbus aircraft , the Libyan Air Cargo fleet consists primarily of transport machines of Soviet design.

The Libyan An-124s were also marketed internationally from January 2001 to 2011 by the charter Franco Lybienne D'Affretement et de transport arien et maritime (FLATAM).
Incidents
- On June 22, 2019, a parked Antonov An-124-100 belonging to Libyan Air Cargo (5A-DKN) was completely destroyed in fighting at Tripoli Airport . A burnt-out machine could be seen in the pictures, only the tail unit was still preserved.
