Lovesickness is not worth it is a hit written by Christian Bruhn and Georg Buschor in 1964 , which became a number one hit in Germany in the version sung by Siw Malmkvist and stayed in the single charts for six months . The single sold over a million times.

The title was initially published with a technical error; So the first 25 seconds ran in mono, then the switch to stereo took place audibly. It was not until 1999 that Bear Family Records released the "full stereo version".

The song was often covered, for example by Frank Zander , Nina Hagen , Bürger Lars Dietrich , Helga Brauer , Vanessa Neigert and Jürgen Drews .
