Lieselotte Finke-Poser (born December 29, 1925 in Hessisch Lichtenau ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

From 1933 to 1945 she attended schools in Meuselwitz and Leipzig. In 1945 she began to paint portraits , but in 1945 she first passed her Abitur at the Max Klinger School in Leipzig. She then studied art history as a guest student at the University of Leipzig . There she received additional tasks and suggestions from Lektor Vetter. She received private lessons from the married couple Herbert and Johanna Hauschild. She also attended evening school at the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art with Walter Buhe . As one of two women in the arts , she passed the entrance exams and began her studies at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art, which she finished in 1950. As early as 1946 she was recognized as a freelance painter and graphic artist.

In 1950 she married the flautist Willi Finke in Leipzig.

From 1950 Finke-Poser worked as an illustrator for publishers in Leipzig, Berlin, Pößnek, Rostock and Dresden. Until 1985, Finke-Poser produced scientific illustrations for the Bibliographisches Institut Leipzig , large teaching boards for programs on GDR television (e.g. Der Fischkoch ), posters and quartets and scientific illustrations for the Akademie-Verlag Berlin .

In 1953 the couple moved to Radebeul , where their son Max was born in 1954. From 1961 she began with Christian themes, first in the technique of linocut , later also as watercolors and oils. This is followed by three cycles of passion and the cycle The Path of Death and the Path of Life . The Vietnam Cycle and Children in Our World cycles deal with political issues. From 1976 to 1977 she headed the painting and drawing circle of the VEB Planeta Radebeul printing machine factory in the culture house of printing machine workers on the Heiteren Blick . Since 1990 she has taken up landscape painting again. She is a co-founder of the Radebeul graphics market.

In addition to painting, Finke-Poser also produces woodcuts and linocuts as well as etchings and lithographs.
