Rudolf Haupt (painter)

Rudolf Haupt (born August 30, 1908 in Leipzig , † after 1956) was a German author , painter and illustrator .

Life

Rudolf main worked for the Trenkler-Verlag Dr. , the publisher Abel & Müller , the youth book publisher Ernst Wunderlich , the Urania publishing house and in 1951 the Central German printing and publishing house GmbH merged Central German publishing house . In the German Historical Museum , 20 drawings and watercolors made by him in the early 1940s are inventoried, mainly cityscapes, war scenes and caricatures. Rudolf Haupt wrote books for children and young people, worked with other authors and illustrators, for example with Paul Genrich, Johann Wilhelm Gräf, Lieselotte Finke-Poser and Elisabeth Hering . Rudolf Haupt has also published in anthologies and magazines, including in Auerbach's German children's calendar , in the Illustrirten Zeitung, Leipzig and in the GDR anthology Urania Universum . Due to the similarity of names, the author, painter and illustrator Rudolf Haupt entered here is also assigned writings by other authors, for example with publications on history, literature, music and medical science.
