Ligitas Kernagis

Ligitas Kernagis (born August 26, 1963 in Ramygala , Panevėžys Rajon , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian singer , musician and former politician (member of Seimas ).

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Jonava in 1981 , Kernagis graduated in 1986 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Kauno Politechnikos Institute in Kaunas and became an engineer. From 1986 to 1988 he was an engineer at “ Jonavos azotinių trąšų gamykla ” ( Azotas ) and from 1988 to 1991 at the chemical company Kėdainiai (now “ Lifosa ”).

From 1988 to 1993 he was a member of the music group “Prologas” at the Kėdainiai Culture House, from 1993 to 1997 a soloist. From 1991 onwards he also performed solo outside the group “Prologas” and was active as the author of the pop music projects “Išdykėlė” and “Lietuviškos dažnutės”.

From 2008 to 2012, Kernagis was a member of the Seimas Parliament in the Tautos prisikėlimo partija (TPP) . From November 2012 he is assistant and secretary of the Seimas member Aurelija Stancikienė ( Drąsos kelias ).

Since 2010 he has been a member of the Krikščionių partija .
