Good Sam RV Insurance 500 (2011)

The Good Sam RV Insurance 500 is the second of two races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond , Pennsylvania .

Between 1997 and 2007, along with the other race, the Pocono 500 , it was the only two races on the Sprint Cup calendar that did not have a main sponsor. The decision to forego a sponsor was made by the management of the circuit after feedback from the fans. For the 2008 season decided Sunoco , the official fuel supplier of NASCAR, and the American Red Cross in the region Philadelphia to sponsor the race and charity events in the region.

In the 2007 season, the race changed its traditional date in July with the Brickyard 400 in August.
