Lila Azam Zanganeh (born 1976 in Paris ) is an Iranian writer living in exile.

Life

Lila Azam Zanganeh grew up as the daughter of Iranian emigrants in France. She attended the École normal supérieure of Fontenay-Saint-Cloud in Paris . She then taught Romance languages ​​for a time as a lecturer at Harvard University . Her columnist articles have appeared in international press such as The New York Times , The Paris Review , Le Monde, and La Repubblica . In 2003 she met Dmitri Nabokov . In 2006 she interviewed John Updike . In 2006 she edited a volume of essays by various Iranian exiled authors.

In 2011 her first book was published, about her reading by Vladimir Nabokov , which was translated from English into eight other languages ​​by 2015.

Zanganeh is a volunteer member of the International Rescue Committee and Words Without Borders .
