Lilium floridum is a plant species from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Sinomartagon section . It wasfirst describedby Ma Jilong and Li Yanjun in 2000.

description

The species reaches heights of growth of 80 to 200 cm. The onion has a round-flattened shape, is 4 centimeters high and 5 to 6 centimeters in diameter, the scales are white. The cylindrical stem is green, striped purple, broadly grooved lengthways and densely haired with white hair, occasionally it is papillae .

The scattered leaves are narrow lanceolate, 9 to 15 centimeters long and 0.8 to 1.5 cm wide and are thickened towards the tip. The leaves are three to five-nerved and also densely hairy white. The two bracts per inflorescence are oval lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, 3.5 to 4.5 inches long and 1.2 to 1.6 inches wide, otherwise the same as the leaves.

The upward-growing flower stem is 12 to 14 centimeters long, striped purple, hairy and broadly grooved lengthways. The inflorescence is a raceme or panicle and carries up to 20 drooping flowers. The bud is pale purple to light red hairy, after the opening of the flower, the bloom sharply curved ( Türkenbund form ).

The red petals are lanceolate, wavy at the edges and covered with black papillae at the base. The petals of the outer petal circle are 7.5 to 9.0 centimeters long and 1.7 to 2.0 centimeters wide, while those of the inner one are slightly wider (2.1 to 2.8 centimeters) and longer (7.7 to 9, 5 centimeters). The honey leaves are papilose, the stamens between 5 and 5.5 centimeters long and bright red; the anthers angular to round, 2 to 2.5 inches long and dark red. The ovary is cylindrical, between 1.8 and 2.2 inches long, 0.3 inches wide and green. The pen is light red, curved upward and between 4 and 4.5 centimeters long, the scar has three dark red, slightly swollen marks. Flowering time is at the end of July and beginning of August.

The inverted egg-shaped to cylindrical capsule fruit is 3.5, occasionally up to 4.5 centimeters long and 1.9 (occasionally up to 2.1) centimeters wide. The seed, winged all around, is wide and egg-shaped, 0.8 cm long and 0.7 cm wide.

distribution

The species is found in the Chinese province of Liaoning in the Fenghuang Mountains (凤凰 山) at altitudes of 200 to 400 m.

Systematics

Little is known about their exact systematic classification, but Lilium floridum is morphologically close to Lilium Leichtlinii var. Maximowiczii and Lilium amabile .
