Lilleø (German: Small Island ) is a Danish island in Smålandsfarvandet ( German : Smålandsfahrwasser ) north of the island of Lolland . The island has a size of 86  hectares and is permanently inhabited by 6 residents (January 1, 2020). The island belongs to the parish community ( Danish : Sogn ) Askø Sogn , which originally belonged to Harde Fuglse Herred in the Maribo office , from 1970 to the Maribo municipality in the then Storstrøms office and since the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 to the Lolland municipality in the Sjælland region .

Lilleø is connected to the larger island of Askø by a 700 meter long dam . The dam, built around 1915, expanded the agricultural possibilities for the islanders.
