Askø Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . The parish consists of the two islands of Askø and Lilleø in Smålandsfarvandet ( German : Smålandsfahrwasser ) north of Lolland , which have been linked by a dam since 1914 . Until 1970 the municipality belonged to Harde Fuglse Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Maribo Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
43 inhabitants live in the parish, 37 of them on Askø and 6 on Lilleø (as of January 1, 2020). The Askø Kirke church is on Askø.
