Avnede Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Lollands Sønder Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Højreby Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

303 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Avnede Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Stormarks Sogn and Halsted Sogn in the north, Skovlænge Sogn in the east, Gurreby Sogn and Arninge Sogn in the south and Sankt Nikolai Sogn in the west .
