Kappel Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Lollands Sønder Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Rudbjerg Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . On October 1, 2010, the former church district Langø Kirkedistrikt in Kappel Sogn became an independent Sogn Langø Sogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts .

The parish has 264 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Kappel Kirke" is located in the parish.
