Langø Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Langø Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Kappel Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark . Until October 1, 2010 it was only a church district in Kappel Sogn. When all church districts in Denmark were dissolved on this date, it became an independent Sogn.

333 residents live in the parish, 288 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Langø Kirke" is located in the parish.

history

Until 1970, Kappel Sogn belonged to Harde Lollands Sønder Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Rudbjerg Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
