Halsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Lollands Nørre Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Højreby Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

The parish has 488 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Halsted Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Nordlunde Sogn and Horslunde Sogn in the north, Vesterborg Sogn in the north-east, Stokkemarke Sogn in the east, Søllested Sogn , Skovlænge Sogn and Avnede Sogn in the south, Stormarks Sogn and Herredskirke Sogn in the west and Løjtofte Sogn in the north- west .
