Løjtofte Sogn is a former parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Lollands Nørre Herred in what was then Maribo Amt , then to Ravnsborg Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Lolland Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

On August 1, 2016, Herredskirke Sogn , Løjtofte Sogn and Utterslev Sogn were merged into Utterslev-Herredskirke-Løjtofte Sogn . This only applies to church issues. In its capacity as Matrikelsogne , i.e. as land register districts of the cadastral authority Geodatastyrelsen , such changes have not had any effect since the abolition of the Harden structure in 1970.

128 inhabitants lived in the parish on July 1, 2016. In the parish is the church “Lille Løjtofte Kirke”.

Neighboring communities were Utterslev Sogn in the north, Horslunde Sogn in the north- east, Nordlunde Sogn and Halsted Sogn in the south-east, Herredskirke Sogn in the south-west and Vindeby Sogn in the north-west . To the south of the main area there are still three exclaves of the municipality between Halsted Sogn and Herredskirke Sogn (see map).
