Limbatus toxin (synonym Kaliumkanaltoxin alpha-KTx 1.4 , LbTx ) is a toxin from the scorpion Centruroides limbatus .

properties

Limbatus toxin is a protein and scorpion toxin . It binds and inhibits calcium- activated potassium channels of the maxi-K type . Limbatus toxin is structurally related to charybdotoxin a , charybdotoxin b , iberiotoxin and also with noxious toxin , margatoxin and tityus toxin Kα .
