Limonium brassicifolium is a plant type from the type of beach Lilac ( Limonium ) in the family of plumbaginaceae (Plumbaginaceae).

description

Limonium brassicifolium is a perennial plant with heights of 20 to 40 cm. The stems are winged at least in the upper part with two 5 to 20 mm wide wings. The leaves are 10 to 30 cm long and have three to four lobes on each side. The lateral lobes are about 1 cm long, the terminal lobe is 5 to 15 cm long and 4 to 11 cm wide and egg-shaped.

The inflorescences consist of a single flower . The inner bracts are 4 mm long, cylindrical and cut off. The calyx is hairless, about 10 mm long, the calyx tube 4 mm. The calyx hem is 6 mm wide, notched and pale blue-violet. The crown is white.

The chromosome number is 2n = 14 for both subspecies.

Occurrence

The species is grown as an ornamental plant in Europe and is occasionally feral in southwestern Europe.
