Limonium graecum is a species of the genus of the beach Lilac ( Limonium ) in the family of plumbaginaceae (Plumbaginaceae).

Limonium graecum is a perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 10 to 35 centimeters. The stem is about 1.9 millimeters thick at the base. The leaves are linear-lanceolate, oblong to obovate and blunt to pointed. They measure 20 to 40 × 4 to 12 millimeters. There are no spike tips.

The ears are 30 to 50 (80) millimeters in size and loose to dense. There are 1 to 4 (rarely up to 6) one to three-flowered, rarely up to four-flowered spikelets per centimeter. The bracts are warty. The inner support sheet is 5.5 to 7 (8) millimeters in size. The chalice measures 6 to 7 millimeters. The calyx tube is downy. The crown is whitish to purple in color and 7 to 8 millimeters in size.

The flowering period extends from May to July, rarely until December.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 34, 43 or 52.

Occurrence

Limonium graecum is endemic to the Cyclades . The name has been misused for numerous similar clans in the eastern Mediterranean . The species grows on limestone coasts.
