Johannes Seidlitz (born June 13, 1990 in Wassertrüdingen ) is a German financial advisor and former racing car driver .
Career
In 2001, Seidlitz began motorsport at the age of eleven.
In 2006 Seidlitz drove in the German Kart Championship and took second place in the DMV Senior Championship. A year later he switched to the German Formula BMW , where he finished seventh in the rookie standings. In 2008 Seidlitz was runner-up in the Formula Renault BARC championship with four wins and two second places .
In the 2009 season , Seidlitz competed in the DTM in a 2007 Audi A4 DTM from the customer team Futurecom TME . After a self-inflicted accident during training for the second race of the season at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz , which severely damaged the car, Seidlitz had to pause this and two other races before Kolles entrusted him with the rebuilt car again. On his comeback in Oschersleben , he could not finish the race because of a defect. There were three more results in the lower ranking before Seidlitz badly damaged the A4 again. During a spin without outside interference on the Dijon-Prenois course , he hit backwards in the stern of his team-mate Christian Bakkerud , who had previously been pushed into the gravel trap by Katherine Legge . As in the opening race, he finished the season finale at the Hockenheimring in thirteenth position.
In the 2010 season , Seidlitz competed in the ADAC GT Masters for the Rosberg team . There he drove an Audi R8 LMS with his team-mate Bernd Herndlhofer .
After the 2010 season, Seidlitz retired from racing and now works as a financial advisor .
Volunteering
Seidlitz is an ambassador for the children and youth organization Die Arche . In the 2010 season he drove a racing car in the Ark design.
