features
The nymph sea lavender is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 5 to 12 centimeters. There are many small rosettes on the densely branched stems . The leaves are narrow wedge-shaped , 7 to 25 millimeters long and have a slightly bent edge. Its top is finely warty, the central rib is sunk. The inflorescence has no wings, its branches are directed upwards. The calyx is 5 to 6 millimeters in size, the calyx teeth are rounded. The petals are 7 to 8 millimeters in size and red to blue-violet.
The flowering period extends from July to October.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
The nymph sea lavender occurs in Sardinia on rocky sandy beaches and rocky coasts.
