Lina Hedlund
Lina Maria Hedlund (born March 28, 1978 ) is a Swedish singer and presenter . As a singer, she was a member of the pop group Alcazar , which disbanded in 2018. She is also active as a solo artist.
Life
Hedlund grew up in Kilafors in the municipality of Bollnäs . In 2002 she took part for the first time in the Melodifestivalen , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . Together with her sister Hanna she sang the song Big Time Party , with which they reached ninth place in the final. The following year she appeared as a solo artist with Nothing Can Stop Me , whereby she was eliminated in the second chance. In 2007 she joined the reunited band Alcazar . Together with Alcazar she took part in the Melodifestivalen in 2009, 2010 and 2014 . When participating in 2014, the trio was able to achieve the best placement with a third place in the final. In 2018 the band split.
With the song Victorious , which was written by Johanna Jansson , among others , she entered the third semifinals of the 2019 Melodi Festival . She moved into the final, where she finished penultimate in eleventh place. She was a member of the Swedish jury at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 . At the Melodifestivalen 2020 she was one of the three presenters through the six programs. From 2001 to 2012 she was the presenter of the music program Copycat Singers . She also appeared in a few film roles.
Together with the moderator and musician Nassim Al Fakir , she has two sons. Her brother-in-law is the singer Martin Stenmarck , who is married to her sister Hanna Hedlund.
