Linards Zēmelis (born October 26, 1995 ) is a Latvian biathlete .

Linards Zēmelis made his international debut at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , where he was 49th in the sprint, 43rd in the pursuit and 23rd with the biathlon / cross-country skiing mixed relay. At the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach , he finished 19 in the individual, 51 in the sprint and 58 in the pursuit. A year later in Presque Isle he was 32nd in the individual, 39th in the sprint, 45th in the pursuit and 12th with the Latvian relay.

Zēmelis competed in his first men's races in 2013 in Beitostølen in the IBU Cup and finished 100th in the individual and 97th in the sprint race. Shortly afterwards, he was 71st in a sprint in Obertilliach and thus achieved his so far excellent position in the racing series. The first highlight for men was the 2014 European Biathlon Championships in Nové Město na Moravě . Zēmelis was only used in the relay race and finished this on the side of Rolands Pužulis , Toms Praulītis and Aleksandrs Patrijuks as the last runner of the Latvian representation as a lapped relay in 18th place.
