Linda Heitmann

Linda Heitmann (born August 2, 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Hamburg.

Life

Heitmann studied political science and geography at the University of Hamburg from 2003 to 2008 and graduated in October 2008 with a degree in political science. She is married and has a daughter. After various professional functions for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, she has been heading the “Hamburg State Office for Addiction Issues” since 2016.

Heitmann has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2003 . From 2005 to 2008 she was a member of the state board of the Green Youth Hamburg and was its chairman from 2006 to May 2008. From 2006 to 2008 she was a deputy in the Department of Home Affairs . She has held this position again since 2015.

She ran for the Hamburg state election in 2008 in the constituency of Altona in 5th place on the constituency list and 13th place on the state list. On May 7th, 2008 she moved up to the Hamburg citizenship for Christa Goetsch , who became Senator for Schools, Vocational Training and Further Education . Since Goetsch was directly elected via personality votes in the Altona constituency, Heitmann was the first to succeed as constituency candidate with the second most personality votes despite being number 5 on the list. Heitmann was the spokeswoman for health, drug policy and youth participation for her parliamentary group. After the coalition failed, it had to make way for Christa Goetsch again. In the state elections in Hamburg in 2011 , she was unable to return to parliament.

From October 2009 to 2010, Linda Heitmann was chairwoman of the GAL district association Hamburg-Altona. After a stay in Baden-Württemberg, during which she worked in the regional association there u. a. worked as deputy press spokeswoman, she was a member of the state board of the Hamburg Greens from 2015 to 2017 and spokeswoman for women's affairs there. In the election of the new state executive on June 24, 2017, Heitmann ran for the deputy state chair, but lost to Martin Bill with 36.23% of the votes cast .
