Linda McCartney (cycling team)

The Linda McCartney Cycling Team was a British cycling team .

The driver of one of the deceased to Linda McCartney sponsored appointed distributors for vegetarian food teams were required for the contract period vegetarian feed.

The team was the first British team to take part in the Giro d'Italia . It only existed for three years, from 1998 to 2000, and broke up in early 2001 after the main sponsor stopped providing financial support at short notice. At this point, other drivers had already been signed for the coming season, including the eventual Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins . In March 2001 the World Cycling Federation UCI announced that it would sue the team operator because he had presented a forged bank guarantee when the team was registered .

The greatest success of the team was the stage victory of the Australian David McKenzie on the 7th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2000 . McKenzie was also the winner of a stage of the 2001 Tour Down Under immediately before the team dissolution became known , thus ensuring the team's final victory.
