Line Kruse (musician)
Line Kruse (* around 1972 in Rotterdam ) is a Danish violinist who has excelled in both world music and jazz .
Kruse studied violin at the Royal Conservatory in Copenhagen , where he was awarded a first prize. In the mid-1990s she moved to Paris to take lessons from Ivry Giltis. In France she played jazz with Youn Sun Nah , Niels Lan Doky and Khalil Chahine as well as Latin American music with Sabor a Son , Cesar Stroscio, Minino Garay and the Tambours du Sud and with Tierra del Fuego . Since 2000 she has been part of the Gotan Project , with which she also toured internationally and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2002 and 2006 . In 2005 she released her debut album, which was followed by other albums.
