Line Leon-Pernet

Line Marie Berthe Leon-Pernet (* 1961, resident in Chalais ) is a Swiss diplomat and has been the Swiss Consul General in Strasbourg since 2016 .

Career

Line Leon-Pernet joined the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1984 and has held posts in Bern , Madrid , Singapore , Buenos Aires , Luxembourg , Bangkok , New York and Lima .

From 2012 to 2016 Leon-Pernet was the Swiss Ambassador in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic . While doing this, she took part on August 7, 2012 in the Palacio Nacional in an event under the direction of Vice-President Rafael Alburquerque , at which the strengthening of human resources and climate change in the Dominican Republic were discussed. In 2015 she attended a music festival in the Dominican Republic where Swiss instruments were given to local musicians. On April 8, 2015, it also appointed Andreas "Andy" Burkard first Swiss honorary consul for Dominica . The occasion was also the official opening of the first Swiss consulate in Savanne Paille . Also in 2015 Line Leon-Pernet was on behalf of the Swiss Embassy in Santo Domingo interested in direct flights to the airline Edelweiss to Punta Cana .

In 2016, Line Leon-Pernet took over the Consulate General in Strasbourg as successor to Marzio Tartini.
