Chalais ( German  Schalei ) is a political municipality and a civil parish in the district of Sierre and a parish of the Deanery of Sierre in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

The municipality of Chalais also includes the villages of Réchy in the Rhone Valley (south-west adjoining), Briey, the northern part of the Val de Réchy and the one on a mountain terrace at approx. 1300  m above sea level. M. located holiday resort Vercorin with the hiking and winter sports area around the Crêt du Midi .
