Lingua-Video.com (Lingua-Video.com Medien GmbH ) is a film publisher for educational films based in Bonn . A second office is located in Hamburg . The publisher's film program is aimed specifically at schools, libraries, universities and media centers. The managing partners are Cäcilia Simon and Jeannine Simon.

history

Lingua-Video.com was founded in 1989 by Cäcilia Simon in Königswinter. The basic idea was to make films in the original language available for foreign language training in schools and educational institutions. In addition to this core business, the film program has been expanded to include socio-politically relevant topics in German over the course of the company's history. In 2006 Lingua-Video.com relocated to Bonn. In 2008, a further office was opened in Hamburg in addition to the Bonn headquarters. Lingua-Video.com is represented at the didacta education trade fair every year .

Lingua-Video.com offers films in English, French, Spanish and German. The program includes classic and modern literary adaptations , theatrical productions, cultural, historical and socially critical documentaries , feature films and artist biographies.

The publisher supplies schools, media centers and libraries in German and foreign languages ​​with films that are included in the curriculum and tailored to school readings. Films from Lingua-Video.com that are widely used in foreign language teaching include: B. Quiero ser (Spanish) or Pas d'histoires! 12 regards sur le racisme au quotidien (French). Lingua-Video.com films are offered on DVD , DVD-ROM and online distribution on closed educational servers.

Under the Lingua-Video didactics product line , the publisher publishes didactic materials that are distributed in conjunction with the associated films ( DVD-ROM ).
