The Left Bairin Banner ( Chinese 巴林 左旗 , Pinyin Bālín Zuǒ Qí ; Mongolian :ᠪᠠᠭᠠᠷᠢᠨ ᠵᠡᠭᠦᠨ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Baɣarin Jegün qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture -level city of Chifeng (Mongol. Ulanhad ) in the northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 6,713 km² and has a population of 350,000. Its main town is the large community of Lindong (林 东镇).
