Aohan banner

The Aohan banner ( Chinese 敖汉旗 , Pinyin Áohàn Qí ; Mongolian ᠠᠤᠬᠠᠨ ᠬᠣᠰᠢᠭᠤ Auqan qosiɣu ) is a banner of the prefecture -level city of Chifeng (Mongol. Ulanhad ) in the northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 8,294 km² and has 590,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large community of Xinhui (新惠镇).
