Lipno ( German Lipno , around 1900 Leipe and Leiperode ) is a village in the Powiat Leszczyński of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with about 7700 inhabitants.
The Lipno Nowe (Leiperode) station is on the Leszno – Poznan line . Lipno was on DW309 , previously part of DK5 .
history
As part of the second partition of Poland , Lipno became part of Prussia in 1793 . The communities Leipe with 153 and Leiperode with 193 inhabitants belonged to the Schmiegel district at the beginning of the 20th century .
After the First World War the places were assigned to the Second Polish Republic due to the provisions of the Versailles Treaty and as a result the Gmina Lipno Nowe was formed in the Poznan Voivodeship . After the invasion of Poland , the Polish rural community Lipno Nowe was renamed Leiperode and became part of the Lissa (Wartheland) district in the Reichsgau Wartheland .
In the years from 1975 to 1998 the place and Gmina Lipno belonged to the Leszno Voivodeship .
