Lipowka ( Russian Ли́повка ) is a village (selo) in Sassowo Rajon in Ryazan Oblast ( Russia ). It belongs to the rural settlement of Demushkino ( Дему́шкино ).
Lipowka is located on a tributary of the Moksha River in the northern part of the Rajon, 27 kilometers northeast of the city of Sassowo. There are three streets in the village.
The only connection with the main part of the Rajon is a seasonal pontoon ferry across the Moksha River. You can also go to Sasovo via the village of Mys Dobroi Nadeschdy ( Мыс Доброй Надежды , “Cape of Good Hope”), but the route is difficult to pass even for tractors. There are 25 permanent, long-established residents in the village (as of October 14, 2010), plus the summer guests.
The closest neighboring towns are all on the opposite bank of the Mokscha. There are the village Lassizy ( Ла́сицы ) 4 km south, the village Roshkowo ( Рожково ) 4 km south-west and the village Demushkino 8 km south-west, which can be reached via a dirt road and the pontoon ferry.
