Lisa Fasselt (born October 13, 1988 in Essen ) is a German sailor .

Career

She began sailing in 1995 at the age of six in the Optimist , the entry-level class for single-handed sailors. In 2001 she switched to the then still Olympic one-handed class Europe and became a member of the team of the Sailing Association of North Rhine-Westphalia . After the Europe was taken out of the Olympic program after the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and replaced by the Laser Radial , she changed boat class and has been sailing in the Laser Radial ever since . At the Segler – Verband NRW she trained with Paul Keßler.

Fasselt lived in Essen until 2008 and attended the Helmholtz high school there, an elite sports school . From 2008 to 2010 she trained and lived as a member of the C-team of the German Sailing Association in Kiel . Your home club is the Yacht Club Ruhrland in Essen. Since September 2010 she has lived and trained in Rostock .

In 2006 she took 7th place overall at the European Cup in Hoorn , the Netherlands. At the Warnemünder Woche she reached 3rd place in the U-19 rating and 6th place in the U-22 rating. At the European Youth Championships in Riccione , Italy , she sailed into 21st place and narrowly missed the qualification criteria for the D / C squad. In November she became the state youth champion of North Rhine-Westphalia.

At the European Cup in Warnemünde in 2007 she came 11th overall and came second in the women's ranking. At the European Championships in Scheveningen , she was 54th overall and fourth-best German. She was able to successfully defend her title as state youth champion in 2007. In November 2007, Fasselt was finally appointed to the D / C squad in which the best women in Germany's Laser Radial class train together.
