Nussdorf am Inn town center
( location )
Nussdorf am Inn town center ensemble The ensemble includes the buildings on both sides of the Nussdorf Mühlbach. This watercourse, which was artificially brought up from the east from the Steinbachgraben to the center of the old Inntaler village near the parish church of St. Vitus, was in operation since the 16th and 17th. Century, perhaps even earlier, mills of various kinds and were also used by leather workers and other trades. He crosses the old north-south through road that accompanies the Inn and returns north-west to the Steinbach. - The loose chain of mills and other buildings begins in the east with the old mill property Zum Sagmeister. Two old-fashioned residential buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries - like all the others also in alpine style with protruding flat gable roofs - together with the actual saw gate building, a wooden structure, form a picturesque courtyard that is enlivened by gushes of water. The saw was originally connected to a plaster ram that crushed the nearby rock. Down the stream, the following section is marked by small, undeveloped orchards. When the brook was crossed via Dorfstrasse, however, there was another mill property until 1920, of which only the oil ram still exists, a small, massive gable roof with technical, water-powered systems for pressing out the linseed oil. This is followed by the large complex of the Obermühle, which is still working as a sawmill, to which the stately farm from 1779 with the home and a three-storey mill building from 1866 belong. In this area there are also handicraft houses, some of which have been renovated as residential houses, and farm properties from the 18th and 19th centuries. Century the village street or the brook. The latter are Einfirsthöfe, two of them have ancient grain boxes from around 1600. - The late Gothic parish church of St. Vitus, surrounded by a walled cemetery and accompanied by a chapel, is a structural highlight on Dorfstrasse. In front of her, the winding street widens to a small square, accented by a village linden tree. This core area of the ensemble has been severely disrupted by newer, too high and carelessly designed residential developments (Am Ring 4, Dorfstraße 2, eastern part of Dorfstraße 3), as well as the newly built or renewed buildings at Dorfstraße 13 and Ölschlagweg 5 with the street and townscape take insufficient account of them. - The third large mill is the Untermühle, a former Malmühle, since 1860 sawmill, in 1894 also the first power station in the Inn Valley; It is particularly characterized by its barn. The square-like intersection of main street and brook is given special weight by the Neuschmiede and the Edelmannhaus, probably a mansion of the former local nobility. Both buildings belong to the 17th century, a commercial building and a

Farmers' properties from the late 19th century and the tailor's inn belong to them. At the landlord, where the stream is unfortunately piped up, another plaster rammer used to work. A large old barn has been preserved in the property. Further to the west, the buildings loosen up again, there are a few farms in orchards, and an old Lederer estate by the stream itself. - In addition to its great painterly values, the ensemble is particularly important in terms of technology and economic history.

Weiler Überfilzen

Ensemble Weiler Überfilzen The ensemble includes the five farm properties of the small hamlet on a low terrace of the Inn. Four of the properties date from the 18th century. These are ridge systems with gable arbors and balconies, a grain box and a home. The importance of the ensemble lies in the surprisingly large number of rural buildings that have survived in a very small space and were built after a fire in 1743; the hamlet, which is remote from the road, has thus retained a particularly picturesque townscape.
