List of architectural monuments in Oberstreu
The monuments of the Lower Franconian municipality of Oberstreu are compiled on this page . This table is a partial list of the list of architectural monuments in Bavaria . The basis is the Bavarian Monument List , which was first drawn up on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973 and has since been managed by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation . The following information does not replace the legally binding information from the monument protection authority. This list reflects the update status from April 7, 2020 and contains 65 architectural monuments.
Ensembles
Ensemble Hauptstrasse Mittelstreu
The main street forms the backbone of the oval-shaped clustered village, which was first mentioned in the 8th century. The street enters the town from the southwest and in the northern third, past the former fortified church , turns to the northwest. The building consists mostly of gable-facing farmhouses with flanking courtyard gates, which date from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century and have upper floors with ornamental framework. One focus of the ensemble is the parish church enclosed by the Gadenanlagen and the former Amtshaus, a late Renaissance building. The northern exit of the town is emphasized by the baroque mill. Site fortification Mittelstreu
The remains of the former village wall are preserved along the eastern boundary from the cemetery to the mill grave in the rear wall of an outbuilding on Hauptstraße 8 (with arched gate) and on the rear property boundary of Rosengasse 5. In the complex they are probably late medieval. File number: D-6-73-151-65.
