Dannenwalde station | Dannenwalde Gransee station is a clear testimony to the expansion of the railway system in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg as well as the economic and transport significance of the Berlin Northern Railway. It was opened on July 10, 1877, closed in 1996 and reopened on June 2, 1996 due to the activities of a "grand coalition for the small train station". The station buildings and the forecourt are a particularly sophisticated and well-preserved example of a rural station. Its elaborate design is reminiscent of the former importance of Dannenwald as a Mecklenburg border station to neighboring Prussia.

Blumenower Straße / Lindenallee ( location ) |
Castle complex with castle chapel | Today's manor house was built at the end of the 17th century, probably on the remains of an old castle complex. The basement is much older than the house on it. The complex comprised the main house with two side buildings as well as a separate estate. In the 18th century the buildings were redesigned in the Rococo style, and later changed again in the 20th century, in 1908 and 1937, and again during the GDR era.
