Monument to the Great Elector (Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg) It is the largest baroque sandstone monument in northern Germany, commemorating the Great Elector Friedrich Wilhelm , who defeated the Swedes in the Battle of Fehrbellin in 1675 . The monument was created in 1736–38 by Johann Georg Glume based on a model by Bartolomé Damart and shows the Great Elector in the costume of a Roman emperor on a pedestal to which allegories and battle reliefs are attached.
